Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Senior Consultant for CSEC Integrated Research to lead complex primary market research and integrated studies across life sciences. You will translate client challenges into actionable research solutions and manage delivery from proposal through final presentation, ensuring high-quality outputs and strong client satisfaction.

You will collaborate with fieldwork, analytics, data science and senior stakeholders, coach analysts, and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• University degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, or related discipline.
• Typically 4–6 years of experience in primary market research, healthcare consulting, or a related life sciences environment.
• Experience delivering end-to-end market research projects, preferably within pharmaceutical/healthcare sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal English, with strong client communication and stakeholder management across international teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of primary market research and integrated research projects across therapeutic areas and business questions.
• Define research approaches, including methodology selection, data sources, sample design, questionnaires, discussion guides, and analytical frameworks.
• Manage all aspects of project delivery: scope, quality, timelines, resources, budgets, and risk mitigation.
• Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, leading project update meetings and ensuring effective stakeholder communication.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (fieldwork, programming, analytics, data science, subject matter experts) to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Analyze and integrate multiple data sources to generate meaningful business insights.
• Develop compelling client deliverables, including reports, presentations, workshops, and executive-level recommendations.
• Present findings and strategic implications to clients and support discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for follow-on work and contribute to proposal development and business development.
• Support innovation initiatives by leveraging AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics.

CSEC Integrated Research

CSEC Integrated Research is part of the IQVIA Global Primary Intelligence and Primary Market Research Business Unit, that sits within the Commercial Solutions Excellence Centres (CSEC) organisation, We focus on understanding the behaviours and attitudes of Health Care Professionals and patients to support international pharmaceutical companies to understand them as people. This is across the whole of the product lifecycle. We explore and measure what Health Care Professionals and patients say and do to deliver actionable insights and clear answers to our clients’ business questions. We typically use behavioural frameworks, AI tools and IQVIA data to support our research. We collaborate with other IQVIA teams to provide our clients with comprehensive solutions to their business issues.

The Role

In this role, you will take ownership of the delivery of complex primary market research and integrated research projects, ensuring high-quality outputs, strong client satisfaction, and successful project outcomes. You will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to translate business challenges into actionable research solutions, while managing project delivery from proposal through to final presentation.

As a key member of the team, you will contribute to business development initiatives, support innovation across research methodologies, and help develop less experienced team members. We are looking for intellectually curious, client-focused professionals who can combine strong analytical capabilities with excellent project management and communication skills to help drive impact for our clients across the life sciences industry.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the design and execution of primary market research and integrated research projects across a variety of therapeutic areas and business questions.
• Defining research approaches, including methodology selection, data sources, sample design, questionnaires, discussion guides, and analytical frameworks.
• Managing all aspects of project delivery, including scope, quality, timelines, resources, budgets, and risk mitigation.
• Acting as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, leading project update meetings and ensuring effective stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including fieldwork, programming, analytics, data science, and subject matter experts, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Analyzing and integrating multiple data sources, including primary market research, secondary research, real-world evidence, and IQVIA proprietary assets, to generate meaningful business insights.
• Developing compelling client deliverables, including reports, presentations, workshops, and executive-level recommendations.
• Presenting findings and strategic implications to clients and supporting discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Identifying opportunities for follow-on work and contributing to proposal development, pitch preparation, and business development activities.
• Supporting innovation initiatives by leveraging AI-enabled tools, advanced analytics, and emerging research methodologies.
• Coaching and providing guidance to analysts and junior team members to support their development and project success.
• Contributing to knowledge sharing and best practice development across the broader Integrated Research and CSEC communities.

Who You Are

• University degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Typically 4-6 years of experience in primary market research, healthcare consulting, or a related life sciences environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end market research and consulting projects, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sectors.
• Experience working on international and multi-country studies is strongly preferred.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including interpretation of quantitative and qualitative research and integration of multiple data sources.
• Proven ability to communicate complex findings clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences.
• Experience building strong client relationships and confidently interacting with stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in supporting business development activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced international environment.
