Capgemini Invent is seeking a Consultant/Senior Consultant – Cloud Operating Model Transformation to advise clients on cloud operating models that are automation‑first and AI‑ready. YOUR ROLE

This is a high impact role in the Cloud Advisory capability unit contributing to our leadership in cloud transformation across our clients in different industry sectors.

As a Consultant/Senior Consultant – Cloud Operating Model Transformation, you will support clients in designing, assessing and evolving cloud operating models that are automation‑first and AI‑ready. You will work hands‑on across technology, service management and organisational change to help clients realise tangible business outcomes from cloud adoption, with a particular focus on how GenAI, agentic workflows and intelligent automation are reshaping how organisations operate in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Cloud Transformation Advisory: Advise clients on the operational and organisational impacts of cloud transformation and help develop digitally enabled business models underpinned by cloud and data‑driven, AI‑ready operating models.
• Assessments and Audits: Conduct assessments and audits of existing cloud operating models to identify areas for improvement through standardisation, automation, improved data flows and readiness for AI‑enabled operations, and translate findings into the design of future‑state operating models, service management processes and organisational structures that are standardisation‑led, automation‑first and AI‑ready.
• Future State Design & Operating Model Definition: Design target cloud operating models, service management frameworks, and organisational structures that reflect the client’s strategic ambitions and cloud maturity. Define future‑state processes across service delivery, governance and operational workflows ensuring designs are practical, measurable and aligned to automation‑first and AI‑ready principles.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and maturity of cloud operating model transformations, using operational metrics, serviced data and insights to recommend improvements. Support the introduction of intelligent monitoring, service analytics and AIOps‑aligned practices where appropriate.
• Deliver Business Outcomes: Use skills in strategy development, service management, agile delivery, DevOps, business process mapping and organisational design to deliver digitally enabled business outcomes. Support the enabling of automation, intelligent workflows and AI‑assisted operations as part of broader cloud transformation initiatives.
• Collaborative Innovation: Work at all organisational levels to innovate, design, and implement cloud transformations, contributing to the growth and success of the consulting practice.
• GenAI & Agentic Operations Advisory: Advise clients on the practical application of large language models, copilot tooling and agentic AI within cloud operating models, including use cases in service management automation, intelligent triage, and AI‑assisted decision‑making.
• AI Governance & Responsible Adoption: Support clients in understanding AI governance considerations, including data quality and transparency.

Role

• Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
• Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
• Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

YOUR PROFILE

Skills

• Practical experience with ITIL V4 and/or V5 best practices and frameworks, including Incident, Change Management, Problem Management, and Service Desk operations with an interest in how these processes evolve through automation and AI‑enabled tooling.
• ITIL V4 and/or V5 Foundation or higher‑level certification demonstrating formal training and understanding of ITIL processes will be highly valued.
• Hands‑on familiarity with GenAI tooling and platforms and an understanding of how these integrate into cloud operating models and ITSM workflows.
• Experience of strong interest in agentic AI patterns and how autonomous agents are beginning to reshape IT operations and service delivery.
• Experience with DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration (CI), continuous deployment (CD), automated testing, infrastructure as code (IaC), and modern delivery pipelines.
• Well versed with managing and architecting solutions on major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services like compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements, ensuring that cloud environments and automated services are secure, resilient, and adhere to industry standards and regulations.
• Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background.
• Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
• Experience of proposition building and delivery.
• Demonstrated curiosity and continuous learning in the AI space, whether through certifications, personal projects, published thinking, or active contribution to AI‑related communities or internal practice development.
• Business development – Utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre‑existing relationships, company relationships and your own network.
