Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in Acute Medicine to join the team. The role involves daily patient review, clinical leadership and teaching within the Acute Medicine service at Blackpool.

Qualifications

• MBChB degree with GMC registration.
• MRCP or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge and skills for fulfilling the job plan.
• Lead daily reviews of medical patients and coordinate care.
• Triage, assess and discharge ambulatory patients and arrange clinic as required.
• Daily ward rounds and manage discharges to ensure safe clearance.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervise junior medical staff.
• Participate in governance, audit and teaching activities.
