Job summary

Fawkes and Reece are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a major construction project on a freelance basis in Tunbridge Wells. The role is to lead day-to-day site activities, ensuring delivery on time, to budget and to quality standards.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, commercial team and subcontractors to coordinate works, manage variations and maintain safety and programme discipline.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on major projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and change control understanding.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site management.
• Track record of delivering projects safely, on programme and to a high standard.
• Leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site activities from mobilisation through to completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams and suppliers.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
• Monitor progress, productivity and site performance.
• Identify and manage variations and potential commercial risks.
• Attend progress, coordination and client meetings.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
