Job summary

JN Bentley, a leading civil engineering and construction organisation, is hiring a Senior Buyer in Shifnal. You will manage a diverse annual spend (~£95 million) across materials, subcontract packages and plant framework agreements, supporting specific construction projects.

You will coordinate procurement activity, act as a primary contact for project teams and suppliers, and work with colleagues across procurement to deliver successful projects.

• Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams throughout design and optioneering with procurement knowledge.
• Coordinate early supplier involvement with project teams.
• Liaise with site teams to capture requirements and ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage day-to-day supplier performance and resolve issues.
• Proactively address delivery, quality and invoice issues with suppliers.
• Prepare cost analyses and forecasting reports.
• Contribute to frameworks and SLAs implementation.
• Research new suppliers and assess supplier competency.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships across the supply chain.
