Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Planner to work in our Real Estate Division in London. You will support Commercial Developer, Industrial, Sciences and Technology teams with pre-construction planning and programming advisory services, collaborating with Cost Management teams as appropriate.

The role focuses on developing plans, programmes, and reporting to ensure safe, efficient outcomes and client satisfaction across various projects.

Qualifications

• Have a proven track record delivering projects as a Senior Planner/Project Planner with 10+ years experience in UK-based main contractor or project management consultancy.
• Experience on varied projects (Residential, Commercial, Education, Leisure, Industrial, Health & Retail).
• Proficient use of Asta Powerproject; Primavera and Microsoft Project are a bonus.
• Experience providing strategic planning, programming or project controls advice to clients during pre-construction stages would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce integrated programmes (design, procurement, construction) with a build strategy and phasing.
• Provide pre-construction planning and scheduling advice to clients.
• Support project team with planning functions and highlight programme issues.
• Give planning direction to stakeholders and produce programme assurance reports.
• Apply critical path analysis and report changes/delays to the programme.
• Produce outputs to analyse compensation events and delay impacts.
• Provide progress reports showing variance against baselines.
• Deliver Period Programme Updates and input to project reports.
• Coordinate between Clients, Partners, consultants and contractors’ programmes and ensure compliance with the Project Programme.
• Assist bidding team to prepare planning activities for tender documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Management and Cost Management to provide integrated delivery advice.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Planner to work within our Real Estate Division, with a focus on supporting our Commercial Developer and Industrial, Sciences and Technology teams in London. The role will support both Project Management commissions and the delivery of standalone pre-construction planning and programming advisory services to clients, as well as working alongside our Cost Management teams whereappropriate.

Objective of the role:

• To support Project Management commissions in developing plans and programmes to deliver our service and projects and monitor and report against these, in accordance with defined scopes of duties and T&T systems, mission and values;
• To support Project Management commissions to achieve safe and efficient outcomes that meet agreed profit and client satisfaction objectives;
• To develop and maintain relationships with clients, peers and others who are influential in providing future business.

Responsibilities:

• Produce logic linked detailed integrated programmes (design, procurement and construction) fully backed up by a build strategy, construction methodology, logistics scheme and phasing plans.
• Provide pre-construction planning and programming advice to clients, includingprogrammedevelopment, strategic scheduling, deliveryplanningandprogrammeassurance services from the earliest stages of project development.
• Provide support to the project team for all planning functions ensuring that issues within the programme are highlighted and understood.
• Give appropriate planning advice and direction to project team members & all relevant Stakeholders and produce programme assurance reports on our Client commissions.
• Apply critical path analysis and assess the impact of change on critical and non-critical activities. Deliver effectively the information regarding changes and delays that have impacted the programme.
• Provide specific programme outputs to analyse "Compensation Events", "Early Warning Notices" impacts. Work as part of T&T’s Contract Advisory services and produce Delay analysis reports.
• Produce progress reports showing variance against the baselines.
• Deliver Period Programme Updates and input to project reports.
• Coordinate between Clients and their Partners’, consultants’ and contractors’ programmes of works and compliance with the Project Programme. Reporting areas of ‘non-compliance’ for resolution.
• As appropriate and required, provide planning support to the bidding team to do all the activities necessary to submit the bidding documentations in time.
• Work collaboratively with Project Management and Cost Management teams to provide integratedprogrammeand delivery advice across client commissions.

Qualifications

• Have a proven track record of delivering projects as a Senior Planner/Project Planner 10 years + experience with a UK based main contractor / project management consultancy.
• Experience on a variety of projects such as Residential, Commercial, Education, Leisure, Industrial, Health & Retail.
• Proficient use of Asta Powerproject (Primavera and Microsoft Project an added bonus)
• Experience providing strategic planning, programming or projectcontrolsadvice directly to clients during pre-construction stages would beadvantageous.
