Job summary

Lanesra Technical Recruitment Ltd is assisting a major water sector contractor in Manchester to recruit a Construction Manager. You will lead site teams across multiple projects in the United Utilities region, ensuring delivery on time and budget with a strong focus on HSE, CDM and sustainability.

Reporting to the Senior Construction Manager, you will drive constructability reviews, manage RAMS, monitor progress, and develop resource plans while collaborating closely with clients and end users.

Qualifications

• APMP or equivalent
• Extensive experience in large scale programmes of construction delivery
• Experience in the water/wastewater treatment industry (preferred)
• Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety
• NEBOSH
• SMSTS

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site construction teams within designated portfolios to deliver projects within approved budget and to an agreed time frame.
• Manage Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability compliance for all delivered construction work on a project.
• Approve RAMS and ensure they are appropriate and adequate.
• Conduct Constructability Reviews and Project Rehearsal and Drive Sign-off for Fit for Assembly.
• Drive zero waste initiatives and reduce embodied carbon in construction activities.
• Ensure timely contractual and commercial notices to Project Team.
• Develop long-term and short-term resource plans (labour, plant, materials).
• Maintain high H&S standards and empower teams to raise safety concerns.
