Qualifications

• Experience leading a construction team within highways or related sectors.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to construction.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to schedule, plan and resource multiple on-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct a team of Construction Managers and Supervisors to deliver planning and operations.
• Review projects to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Monitor onsite and offsite construction for compliance with standards.
• Produce rosters for construction and delivery staff.
• Resource suitably competent staff to activities.
• Risk assess site conditions and plan control measures.
• Ensure long-lead plant items, labour and materials are secured.
• Undertake site visits and planning.
• Develop multi-discipline work package plans and task briefs.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with approved methods.
• Maintain records of resources, materials, and plant; provide reports.
• Optimise resource levels to meet budget and specification.
• Support safety culture with subcontractors and participate in monthly safety meetings.
