Job summary

A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee critical gas infrastructure projects in South Wales. You will lead site operations, coordinate contractors, and ensure compliance with national standards. The ideal candidate has 10–15 years of experience in gas infrastructure and a proven track record of delivering projects within tight schedules. Relevant engineering qualifications and project management experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering within tight schedules on live gas sites.
• Experience with AGI/PRS upgrades is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all on-site construction activities during an 18-week programme.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and National Gas specifications.
• Act as the focal point for contractor supervision and customer liaison.

Skills

10–15 years of experience on major gas infrastructure projects

Strong working knowledge of CDM and National Gas procedures

Ability to operate independently under pressure

Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams

Education

Chartered Engineer or equivalent engineering qualification

Project Management certification (e.g., APM, PMP, Prince2)
