Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a Senior Composite, Assembly & Integration Technician for our Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. This role supports building, integrating, and validating highly complex assemblies in a fast-paced engineering and R&D environment, bridging concept to production.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years in high precision assembly or advanced manufacturing (aerospace, defence, medical, or cutting edge R&D).
• Advanced interpretation of ISO/ANSI and proprietary engineering drawings.
• Experience with high performance composite lay up, vacuum bagging, and autoclave curing cycles.
• Ability to setup and maintain custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
• Proficient with high end hand and light power tools.
• Lean manufacturing, SixSigma, and root cause analysis knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem solving mindset.

Aufgaben

• Lead Technical Execution – Interpret complex engineering drawings and instructions to deliver precision assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Process Optimisation & Innovation – Drive continuous improvement to enhance yield, cycle time and product quality.
• Multi-Material Fabrication Mastery – Engineer fastening, bonding, composite laminate, and light fabrication for metals, composites, and hybrids.
• Root-Cause Analysis & Design Support – Identify issues, document findings, and implement corrective actions with engineering teams.
• Documentation & Traceability – Maintain build records, quality logs and technical reports for full traceability.
• Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer – Coach and supervise junior assembly staff to foster technical excellence.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Liaise between design, quality, manufacturing and supply-chain.
