Job summary

DJH is seeking a Senior Technical & Compliance Manager to lead regulatory and professional compliance across Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent offices. You will oversee ICAEW practice assurance, ISQM 1/2 frameworks, and ethics, reporting to the Director of Governance, Risk & Compliance.

Role involves monitoring HMRC/ICAEW updates, updating policies, and developing technical guidance. Strong communication, risk mindset and collaborative leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent) is required.
• Significant post-qualification experience in a practice environment with compliance/risk/quality focus.
• Strong knowledge of ICAEW practice assurance and ISQM 1/2.
• Experience in technical audit monitoring or file reviews with remediation.
• Understanding of ICAEW Code of Ethics and PCRT obligations.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory and professional compliance obligations across the firm.
• Manage ISQM 1/ISQM 2 quality management framework and monitoring activities.
• Track regulatory developments and communicate implications to leadership.
• Maintain and update compliance manuals, policies, and procedures.
• Design and deliver compliance CPD and training for staff.
