This role will be instrumental in guiding the Group’s global compliance strategy, ensuring regulatory obligations are met while supporting the organisation’s commercial goals.

Acting as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team, this individual will interpret complex legislation, provide practical recommendations, and design proactive measures to identify and mitigate financial crime risks across the business. The role also involves anticipating regulatory trends, supporting strategic projects such as mergers and acquisitions, and embedding compliance excellence across all operations.

Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Lead horizon-scanning activities to anticipate and assess new AML and ABC regulations, determining their potential implications for the Group.
  • Shape and refine global frameworks for managing financial crime risks, ensuring consistency and accountability across all regions and entities.
  • Deliver expert insight and advisory support on compliance risks related to new ventures, acquisitions, and product developments.
  • Review and challenge the effectiveness of second-line oversight and reporting mechanisms, recommending enhancements where required.
  • Influence senior stakeholders to view compliance as a strategic enabler and integral part of business decision-making.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with senior leaders, promoting transparency and alignment on risk and compliance priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement by benchmarking against global standards and embedding best practices across the organisation.
To be considered for the role you should:
  • Have extensive experience in financial crime compliance, with deep understanding of AML and ABC frameworks.
  • Have proven success in managing complex risk environments across multiple jurisdictions and business models.
  • Have experience in advising senior stakeholders and executives on regulatory strategy and compliance transformation.
  • Be able to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable business guidance.
  • Be skilled in building cross-functional collaboration and influencing behaviours at all levels.
  • Have recognised professional certification in compliance or financial crime prevention.
