Job summary

Optiver in London is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer within Institutional Sales & Trading Advisory to advise front office on regulatory, conduct and financial crime matters, and to help evolve the Global Compliance framework. You will own advisory work end-to-end, partner with business and control functions, review communications, and lead initiatives across global offices while mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Compliance, Legal or Risk within a financial institution.
• Exposure to trading floor environments and institutional markets.
• Strong understanding of regulatory, conduct and financial crime risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent Compliance advice for Institutional Sales & Trading, incl. counterparty interactions and regulatory requirements.
• Advise on sales and trading conduct, conflicts of interest, confidential information and cross-border activity.
• Lead financial crime assessments including AML and sanctions risks across onboarding and activity.
• Review external communications and marketing materials for accuracy and compliance.
• Lead input into new products and strategic initiatives with business and control functions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and deliver targeted training with global Compliance teams.
