Are you a strategic communicator with a flair for creative storytelling and the confidence to advise senior leaders? Do you thrive on shaping messages that engage communities and protect an organisation's reputation?
We're looking for two experienced and motivated Senior Communications Officers to join our small but busy team. It's an exciting time at Hertsmere, with new, resident-focused policies being developed and wide-reaching engagement taking place across our communities.
In this senior role, you will provide timely, professional communications advice to senior leaders and deliver campaigns and content that inform, engage and inspire. You will play a key role in communicating council decisions, supporting our values of transparency and trust, and enhancing our reputation.
You will be confident, politically astute and adaptable, with excellent writing skills and experience developing effective communication and engagement strategies. You will also be comfortable using digital and social media creatively to reach different audiences.
You will hold a professional qualification such as CIPR, NCTJ or an equivalent relevant degree, and have a strong portfolio demonstrating your strategic communications experience and ability to work with senior leaders.
One post offered on a permanent, full time basis (36 hours per week), with the second post offered on a 2 year fixed term, full time basis (36 hours per week).
