Job summary

Thames Valley Police is seeking an experienced Communications Manager to lead strategic communications in a fast-moving policing environment. You will guide campaigns, engage communities and stakeholders, and advise senior leaders during major incidents and investigations.

You will manage a team of communications professionals, develop cross‑agency messaging and ensure communications are timely, accurate and trusted, with hybrid working arrangements and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of strategic communications to support operational policing, public confidence and community safety.
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders and operational commanders on campaigns and communications strategies.
• Shape communications during major incidents, complex investigations and policing initiatives.
• Oversee a team of multi-disciplinary communications professionals and ensure timely, accurate messaging.
