Job summary

Ealing Council is seeking a Senior Communications and Campaigns Officer to help staff, partners and families understand significant service changes. The role spans Children’s Services and the corporate communications team, focusing on clear, accessible communications that connect reform with everyday experiences.

You will work with senior leaders and partners to deliver engaging campaigns, listening sessions and co-production, ensuring messages are accurate, inclusive and impactful.

Qualifications

• Experience developing joined up communications and engagement plans.
• Ability to communicate complex policy changes clearly and inclusively.
• Proven ability to work with senior leaders and frontline staff.
• Strong listening, participation, and co-production skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive issues with clarity, care and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver joined up communications and engagement plans for reform programmes.
• Turn complex policy and service changes into clear, inclusive content.
• Support leaders to communicate change openly and with empathy.
• Engage staff, schools, health partners, community organisations, parents and young people.
• Create opportunities for listening, participation and co-production.
• Use insight to shape communications and improve delivery.
• Produce high-quality content across internal, digital, campaign and stakeholder channels.
• Evaluate communications activity and improve reach and impact.
