A local government authority in London is seeking a Senior Communications and Engagement Officer to lead strategic communications and stakeholder engagement. This role involves developing targeted engagement strategies and managing relationships with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in communications and project management, excellent written and verbal skills, and an understanding of planning and regeneration in London.
Good Growth is responsible for delivering and implementing the Mayor’s environment, transport and economic strategies and for the effective implementation of the London Plan. The Directorate is also responsible for regeneration (where the programme is not housing led), enterprise, growth, capital projects and design work.
We’re looking for an experienced and creative communications professional to lead and coordinate stakeholder engagement, marketing and communications for the Greater London Authority’s Planning & Regeneration Unit.
This is a strategic and delivery-focused role at the heart of shaping how we communicate the Mayor’s vision for planning and regeneration. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing targeted engagement strategies, raising awareness of planning initiatives and extending the reach of our work to diverse audiences across London.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the GLA and externally to coordinate impactful communications, ensure consistency with our brand, and support the delivery of Mayoral priorities.

GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
