Richard James Recruitment Specialists Ltd is partnering with a global energy and commodity trading group to recruit an experienced Commodity Clearing Analyst for their EMEA Financial Operations team. The role covers day-to-day clearing operations across oil derivatives, European Power & Gas, metals and FX, with involvement in projects and process improvements.

The successful candidate will work closely with Trading, MO, IT, Credit, Scheduling and Trade Finance, ensuring controls are executed on

Qualifications

• 5+ years in clearing operations and commodities.
• Experience with Oil derivatives, European Power & Gas, Metals.
• Strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle of Cleared/Futures trades.

Responsibilities

• Complete intra-day and EOD controls for trades and books.
• Coordinate brokerage and broker rate agreements.
• Respond to ad-hoc requests from Middle Office/desks about positions.
• Perform Exchange/CCP & Broker reconciliations.
• Report expiries of listed options and futures to desks and MO.
• Review KPIs to resolve aged items and issues.
• Escalate risks and coordinate with multiple teams.
