Job summary

BAE Systems in Warrington is seeking an electrical commissioning professional to produce test documentation, review drawings, and perform safe commissioning with limited supervision. The role involves liaising with stakeholders and mentoring junior team members.

You will contribute to commissioning across electrical distribution, fire protection, control and instrumentation systems while following company policies and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience producing test documentation and technical reports, interpreting engineering drawings and using appropriate test equipment for electrical testing.
• Knowledge of electrical control, instrumentation and high-voltage systems, including power plants, motors, distribution and fire protection systems.
• Knowledge of instrumentation technologies, including low-voltage control, PLCs, data communications and fibre optics.
• Experience commissioning complex systems, with a strong understanding of safety procedures in high-risk environments and nuclear site authorisation conditions.
• Understanding of test and commissioning processes, with the ability to work independently, liaise with stakeholders and support and mentor colleagues.
