Job summary

IDEX Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Property & Casualty Underwriter to drive underwriting excellence for a global organization. You will manage a diverse portfolio, price complex risks, and guide brokers and clients through coverage decisions, aiming for profitable outcomes.

The role requires strong analytical skills, relationship-building prowess, and proficiency with underwriting software and data tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of underwriting commercial P&C experience with strong pricing and risk evaluation.
• Proficient in property, casualty, general liability, and excess liability underwriting.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; CPCU/AU beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Risk Assessment & Underwriting: evaluate, price, and underwrite complex P&C risks.
• Client & Broker Relationships: guide brokers/clients through underwriting, explain coverage and pricing.
• Portfolio Management: manage profitable portfolio with retention and growth focus.
• Strategic Risk Analysis: monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Collaboration: work with claims, legal, and actuarial to resolve issues.
• Innovation & Process Improvement: leverage data analytics to improve underwriting efficiency.
