Job summary

QED Legal Recruitment Limited is partnering with a well-established full-service law firm in Greater London to recruit a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with 3+ years PQE. You will manage your own caseload in a busy commercial disputes team, advising on merits and strategy while progressing matters to resolution.

The role offers drafting and reviewing pleadings and statements, handling County Court and High Court proceedings, and engaging in mediation and ADR as needed.

I am working with a well-connected, full-service law firm looking to strengthen its Litigation Department with the appointment of a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE.

This is a particularly attractive opportunity for a solicitor looking to take the next step in their career within a busy, established department with a strong flow of commercial litigation work.

The firm has a substantial litigation offering and an established client base, providing the opportunity to handle a varied caseload of commercial disputes while benefiting from the wider expertise and resources of a full-service practice.

The Role

You’ll take responsibility for your own caseload of general commercial litigation matters, advising clients on contentious issues and developing practical strategies to achieve commercially sensible outcomes.

• Managing commercial litigation matters from initial instruction through to resolution.
• Advising clients on the merits of disputes, litigation strategy, risk and settlement options.
• Drafting and reviewing pleadings, witness statements, settlement agreements and other legal documentation.
• Handling County Court and High Court proceedings, alongside mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
• Liaising with clients, counsel and other professionals to progress matters effectively.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through clear, commercially focused advice.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm and contributing to the continued development of the department.

About You

You’ll be a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with at least 3 years' PQE and a solid grounding in general commercial litigation.

You’ll be comfortable managing your own matters, advising clients directly and handling the demands of a varied contentious caseload. Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills are essential, alongside a sound understanding of civil procedure and litigation strategy.

You’ll also be commercially minded, organised and confident in building client relationships, with the ambition to continue developing your practice within a strong litigation team.
