Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established mechanical contractor covering London and the South East. This is a fully hands-on senior role with responsibility for gas boiler installation, maintenance and plant room systems across multiple sites.

You will work with a compliant, safety-focused team, hold valid commercial gas qualifications and Gas Safe registration, and demonstrate the ability to read technical drawings, supervise

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer or Senior Commercial Gas Engineer.
• Valid commercial gas qualifications and Gas Safe registration.
• Strong experience installing and maintaining commercial gas boilers.
• Experience in commercial buildings and plant rooms.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and service commercial gas boilers and heating systems.
• Work on natural gas installations from mains to plant rooms.
• Undertake commercial gas pipework installation and associated mechanical works.
• Support construction and installation of boiler and plant room systems.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on gas equipment.
• Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repairs.
• Ensure compliance with gas safety regulations and standards.
• Test, inspect and check gas systems for safe operation.
• Liaise with clients, site teams and project management.
