We are currently recruiting for a Senior Commercial Administrator to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across Area, Region. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career with Lanes Group, working closely with one of our most exciting clients and contributing to their objectives.

Working Hours & Location
  • Location: Derby
  • Hours of work 40 hours per week
  • Salary: Up to £35,000
About The Role
Responsibilities - but not limited to
  • Working alongside the Senior Commercial Analysts (QS) ensuring proper contractual administration of contract/project assigned, including value and cost control, and maintenance of contemporaneous records
  • Accurately value works undertaken and where necessary provide records to substantiate cost to allow prompt issue of application for payment/invoice in line with contractual timescales
  • Ensure change control process is managed effectively, including production of early warnings/variations, maximising entitlement
  • Preparation of financial statements in respect to projects/contracts assigned, working with operational teams to confirm understanding of financial position, proactively instilling commercial awareness throughout the wider business.
  • Accepts extra duties as situations arise.
Experience And Qualifications Required For The Role
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment where attention to detail is crucial

  • Advanced Excel skills essential
  • Previous experience and knowledge of utilities

We are looking for a candidate who is looking to enhance their career within a Commercial environment. The role would be suited to a candidate who has strong advanced Excel skills and comes with a Financial background. If you have studied Quantity Surveying or have worked in a Commercial Department this would be advantageous.
