Job summary

IntelliBee is seeking a Senior Cognos Developer/Administrator in Malvern to design and maintain enterprise reporting solutions, dashboards, and metadata models. You will optimize performance, secure Cognos environments, and support deployments across Dev, QA, and Prod.

The ideal candidate brings strong SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or Redshift), Cognos Analytics, Framework Manager, and experience with AWS.

Qualifications

Role Overview

Seeking a Senior Cognos Developer/Admin with strong SQL expertise and hands-on Cognos Administration experience. Responsible for developing enterprise reporting solutions while maintaining Cognos platform stability, security, and performance. Ideal candidate has experience in Cognos Development and Administration within large enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Development

• Develop and maintain Cognos reports, dashboards, and Framework Manager models.
• Create reusable, high-performance reporting solutions.
• Build pixel-perfect, burst reports, drill-throughs, and dashboards.
• Optimize report and query performance.
• Develop and maintain metadata models, packages, and data layers.
• Gather requirements and translate business needs into reporting solutions.

SQL & Data

• Develop complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Perform query tuning and execution plan analysis.li>
• Work with large enterprise datasets.
• Design efficient reporting data models and determine optimal placement of business logic.

Cognos Administration

• Administer Cognos Dev, QA, and Prod environments.
• Manage security, LDAP/AD integration, roles, permissions, and data sources.
• Monitor platform health, performance, scheduling, and report execution.
• Support deployments, migrations, upgrades, and content store management.
• Troubleshoot platform, security, and report-related issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong expertise in ALL BELOW WITH Cognos Version 12 and Higher:
• Cognos Analytics
• Framework Manager
• Report Development & Dashboarding
• Cognos Administration
• Advanced SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redshift).
• Experience with AWS environments.
• Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise reporting platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial Services / Asset Management experience.
• Cognos migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
• Power BI or Tableau exposure or AWS Quick Sight.- Nice to have
• ETL/Data Integration knowledge.
• Snowflake, Redshift, or cloud analytics experience.
