Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Coding Educator to identify opportunities to improve provider documentation and create education plans tailored to each assigned provider. You will report to the Manager, Coding Education.

You will lead the risk adjustment strategy for provider groups, analyze data, and deliver educational sessions focusing on quality of care, documentation, and coding improvements. Collaboration with relationship owners and QCS is essential as is developing webinars and compliant

Qualifications

• Requires AAPC CPC certification and 3+ years in risk adjustment education.
• 3+ years of medical record review knowledge.
• Knowledge of Medicare Risk Adjustment and coding guidelines (ICD-9/ICD-10).
• Experience analyzing data to guide process improvements; proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

As the Senior Coding Educator you will be:

• Responsible for creating and executing the risk adjustment strategy for each provider groups
• Analyze data and reporting and provides educational sessions with providers aimed at quality of care, documentation and coding improvements
• Collaboration with relationship owners and QCS (Quality and Cost Strategy)
• Monitor and develops strategy in collaboration with Network Performance team and the leader
• Tailor provider group webinars and discussions based on various MRA topics
• Creates compliant PowerPoint Presentations tailored to group strategy

Required Qualifications

• AAPC CPC (Certified Professional Coder) Certification
• 3+ years of risk adjustment provider education
• 3+ years of medical record review knowledge
• Medicare Risk Adjustment knowledge
• Familiar with coding guidelines (i.e. ICD-9/ICD-10)
• Experience analyzing data to guide process improvements
• Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
• Proficient at PowerPoint with experience presenting at multiple levels of leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Certified Risk Coder (CRC)
• Power BI knowledge
• Medical coder/billing experience

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$71,100 - $97,800 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
