Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) in Sheffield to machine high-integrity components. The role involves setting up Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes, reading complex drawings, and working with exotic materials to tight tolerances.

You will contribute to quality and safety standards while maintaining efficient production workflows. The position offers a full-time, permanent contract with shift rotations including mornings and nights.

Qualifications

• Experience in precision CNC turning with high-integrity components.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
• Experience with high-performance alloys and difficult materials.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture precision components from drawings and specifications.
• Set up and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes safely and efficiently.
• Maintain quality systems and procedures for compliance.
• Interpret complex drawings and translate into finished parts.
• Machine high-grade materials such as Inconel 718 and similar alloys.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-organised work area.
• Meet production times while ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Select tooling, feeds and speeds for optimal performance.
• Support continuous improvement in efficiency and workshop practices.
