Job summary

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Operator / Setter / Programmer in Dudley, West Midlands. You will set up, program, and operate CNC lathes to engineering drawings, ensuring quality and on-time production.

We require at least 5 years in turning/lathe environments, with strong G-code programming skills and precision-measuring experience. The role offers day shifts with overtime and a closing date of 22 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' CNC machining experience within turning/lathe environments.
• Strong CNC programming and machine-setting experience (G-code).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines, load materials, and secure workpieces
• Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools
• Carry out tool offsets and verify machining setups
• Programme, set, and operate CNC lathes to engineering drawings/specifications
• Monitor machining performance and optimise processes where required
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments efficiently
• Complete in-process quality checks
• Support CMM inspection processes (training available)
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
