Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced AWS Architect in the United Kingdom to design, implement, and govern secure, scalable cloud platforms for complex enterprise workloads. This role spans infrastructure, networking, and security, leveraging AWS reference architectures.

You will lead landing zones, migration roadmaps, and modernization programs while applying Well Architected principles to hands‑on design. You will drive cloud-native security, utilize a broad set of services, and provide

• Architecting large-scale systems covering infrastructure, networking, and security, with a strong understanding of AWS reference architectures.
• Designing and providing the technical governance over the delivery of significant workloads on the cloud.
• Leading landing zone design and implementation, migration roadmaps, and modernisation programmes.
• Applying Well Architected principles in hands‑on technical design, ensuring best practices are consistently met.
• Building cloud-native security solutions to prevent, detect, and remediate risks on AWS.
• Using a wide range of AWS services (including both platform and workload focused services) in production environments.
• Designing and delivering workloads using a wide range of AWS services including; AWS Organizations, CloudTrail, SecurityHub, GuardDuty, IAM and IAM Identity Center.
• Providing technical leadership to cross‑functional delivery teams and setting technical direction for enterprise‑scale cloud projects.
