Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment seeks a Senior Software Architect for an established technology business developing a cloud software platform. This hands-on role influences architectural direction and mentors engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable software.

The core stack is C# and .NET, with strong transferable experience in cloud architectures. This hybrid role includes two office days weekly near Southampton, Fareham, Portsmouth; UK Security Clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with experience as a Software Architect in a C#/.NET environment.
• Experience designing complex cloud applications, ideally multi-tenant.
• Building APIs and working with databases and distributed systems.
• Applying sound software design principles and security best practice.
• Communicating architectural decisions and guiding engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Own software architecture and design, translating complex requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Guide the development of cloud applications with focus on security, performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Stay involved through delivery from design to testing and validation.
• Set technical standards, review designs and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with product teams to shape requirements and platform development.
