Job summary

VIQU IT Recruitment is assisting a growing organisation in Birmingham to hire an Infrastructure and Security Engineer. You will be the most hands-on technical person, managing cloud and on-prem infrastructure while supporting the security estate.

Expect to patch, monitor, back up and test restores, handle third-level IT support, and coordinate vulnerability testing with external partners. Strong communication to non-technical stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Senior infrastructure role with responsibility for improving IT and security estate.
• Experience across cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
• Understanding of security, risk and governance, and change control.

Responsibilities

• Managing and improving cloud infrastructure alongside Microsoft 365 stack.
• Patching, monitoring, backup and recovery incl. testing restores.
• Provide third level IT support when required.
