Salary: £58,100 - £87,100 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

As a Senior Cloud Security Architect, you will be responsible for the assurance, design and implementation of security solutions or services across our cloud-based applications and infrastructure. You will work closely with cross functional teams to ensure Cloud architecture employs robust, scalable, and secure controls or solutions that align with business requirements and industry best practices.

You will

- Collaborate and partner with Enterprise Architecture, ensuring the target architectural state and components align with the strategic capability model and software catalogue.

- Support program planning ensuring contribution to the forward roadmap, sprint planning and strategic milestones.

- Design and implement policies and define best practice controls for cloud security architecture spanning IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS hosting models.

- Continuously monitor and analyse security across public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.

- Perform continuous assurance, leveraging threat modelling, risk assessments, and gap analysis of cloud architecture and environments.

You have

- Knowledge of NIST, CIS, NCSC, NIS, and Purdue models, with a focus on IT infrastructure security in the energy and utilities sector.

- Proven experience designing secure cloud systems across AWS, Azure (preferred), GCP, or Oracle Cloud, with relevant vendor certifications.

- Hold or working towards certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, demonstrating strong security governance and risk management skills.

- Skilled in enterprise security architecture, including network (NGFW, WAF), application (SSL, microservices), and data security (encryption).

- Deep understanding of IAM, AAA principles, Active Directory security, federated identity (ADFS, SAML), MFA, and SIEM/logging best practices.
