Job summary

ClickHouse is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Typescript / Backend) to join as a founding backend engineer focused on AI/ML integrations. You’ll own end-to-end integration and set the technical defaults for a growing team.

Day-to-day you’ll design architectures, manage on-call responsibilities, and collaborate across teams on interfaces while shaping the platform’s evolution in a remote-friendly, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building software, with a focus on data-heavy or integration-flavored systems.
• Solid backend and systems instincts including deployment topology, multi-tenancy, and data movement.
• Experience with modern auth protocols, service principals, and identity federation.
• Built on third-party platforms with evolving docs and breaking changes risk.
• Able to ship in ambiguity and document architectural decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture: auth flows, multi-tenancy, data movement, performance and production behavior.
• Run and own production systems including CI, deployment and observability.
• Work with external platforms you can't change and define what is your risk vs. non-risk.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define interfaces and unblock progress.
