interactive investor the UKs second largest direct-to-consumer investment platform enables individuals in the UK to plan save and invest in the way that works for them. Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers enabling them to create value for their customers. Our Investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market through either public markets or alternative asset classes.
TheCloud Capability function operates under our Corporate CTO playing a strategic role in enabling and accelerating cloud adoption across Aberdeen. We work in close partnership with business verticals and corporate functions to deliver fit for purpose cloud platforms practices and processes that support modernisation while ensuring our environments remain resilient secure and efficient. Internally the function is made up of Cloud Infrastructure Architecture Cloud Platform Engineering Development Enablement and FinOps teams. Together we drive forward the modernisation of our technology environments reducing friction to cloud adoption embedding automated governance and empowering teams to build and operate in the cloud with confidence and agility.
As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect you will play a critical role in delivering our enterprise cloud strategy and supporting the modernisation of our technology environments with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. Reporting to the Lead Cloud Infrastructure Architect you will collaborate closely with other architects platform engineers and business stakeholders to design implement and optimise cloud infrastructure solutions. You will contribute technical expertise across networking compute storage identity and observability ensuring solutions are secure scalable and aligned with architectural standards. This role is ideal for someone with deep hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure who is looking to further develop their skills and contribute to major transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess the following :
Strong knowledge of Azure and associated services.
Solid understanding of networking identity management security and compliance in Azure.
Experience modernising core infrastructure services into cloud platforms.
Familiarity with the well-architected framework.
Experience with containerisation (e.g. Kubernetes Docker) serverless architectures and microservices.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost management strategies
Background in software engineering or infrastructure operations
