Job summary

A healthcare provider in Macclesfield is seeking a Senior Clinical Support Worker for its outpatient department. Senior Clinical Support Worker - Outpatients (Band 3)

There is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team working within the Outpatient department as a Senior Clinical Support Worker.

We work over 3 areas, Main Outpatients, Breast clinics, Orthopaedic Outpatients and also we support procedure clinics in our Treatment Centre, we provide high-quality, compassionate care and support to patients attending the Outpatients Department under the supervision of registered nurses and clinical staff. Assist with clinical, administrative, and patient support duties to ensure smooth and efficient outpatient services.

Hours: 37.5

Main duties of the job
  • Prepare clinic rooms and equipment prior to patient arrival
  • Escort patients to and from waiting areas and assist with mobility needs
  • Carry out basic observations (BP, pulse, temperature, SpO2, urinalysis) and report abnormalities
  • Assist with clinical procedures (e.g., flexible cystoscopy, minor ops, wound care)
  • Chaperone patients during intimate examinations or procedures
  • Maintain accurate records in line with Trust documentation standard
  • Clean and restock clinical areas in accordance with infection prevention policy

  • Care certificate
