A prominent healthcare institution in Cardiff seeks a Senior Clinical Spinal Fellow in Trauma & Orthopaedics. You will work closely with experienced consultants, participating in spinal surgery and on-call duties. This role requires FRCS Orth or SN, along with a strong humanities background. Offering a salary of £46,324 to £71,814 annually, it promises a full-time and enriching experience in a supportive teaching environment.

Applications are invited for the above spinal posts vacant to start 5th August 2026 at the University Hospital of Wales, Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales, and University Hospital Llandough.
The post holder will work with nine dedicated Spinal Orthopaedic Consultants who are actively involved in all aspects of spinal surgery ranging from degenerative cervical and lumbar disease to tumour and scoliosis in adults and children. The Welsh Centre for Spinal Surgery & Trauma is a recognised AO Spine Reference Centre and a Spinal Training Interface Group accredited centre.
The successful applicant will gain valuable experience in all aspects of spinal surgery and there is an active research programme in place including basic science laboratory facilities. The Centre is associated with Cardiff University and excellent postgraduate facilities are available.
The post holder will be expected to work at Senior Specialty Registrar level and will participate in the Spinal on call rota at University Hospital of Wales.
The post is not educationally approved and will therefore not attract a National Training Number.
