Job summary

NSFT East Suffolk Specialist CAMHS in Ipswich is seeking a Clinical Psychologist at senior level to provide specialist assessment and therapy for children and young people aged 0-18 with complex mental health needs. The role combines leadership, consultation to multidisciplinary teams and workforce development.

You will supervise trainees and newly-qualified psychologists, contribute to service development, and work alongside health and social care partners to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for children, young people and families with complex mental health needs.
• Deliver a range of evidence-based psychological therapies and interventions to service users, families and carers.
• Provide psychological consultation, advice and formulation to multidisciplinary team colleagues to support psychologically informed care.
• Undertake complex risk assessments and advise other professionals on the psychological aspects of risk management.
• Provide supervision and support to trainee, assistant and newly-qualified psychologists, and contribute to developing the wider psychological workforce.
• Contribute to service development, strategic planning and the implementation of psychologically informed practice across services.
• Work collaboratively with health, social care and partner agencies to meet the recovery, safeguarding and wellbeing needs of service users and their families.
