Job description
Senior Clinical Pharmacist – Rotational

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team of rotational senior clinical pharmacists. This post involves six-month rotations across a wide range of specialist clinical areas, including critical care, specialist medicine, surgery and nutrition, paediatrics and medicines information.

The role provides an opportunity to develop your skills in a friendly, structured environment supported by an excellent team. You will receive necessary supervision and training in each rotation, and may have the opportunity to undertake additional post‑graduate qualifications, including an independent prescribing course.

Main duties of the job

You will provide expert pharmaceutical knowledge to patients, pharmacy, medical and nursing staff across a variety of specialties and multidisciplinary teams.

You will assist in providing and maintaining a safe and efficient pharmaceutical service to hospital wards and departments in accordance with Trust policies.

You will work with the Principal Clinical Pharmacist and other senior staff to develop clinical and other services within the Trust.

You will assist the Principal Clinical Pharmacist in providing clinical training and supervision of other departmental staff.

  • Certificate in pharmacy practice or equivalent clinical experience (≥1 year post registration acute NHS experience)
