Senior Clinical Negligence Solicitor – Defendant | Sheffield | Hybrid | Up to £85,000

An opportunity for a solicitor with 3+ PQE to handle defendant clinical negligence litigation in Sheffield. Hybrid working is available, with a salary of up to £85,000 depending on experience and the level of responsibility.

You will take responsibility for a defendant clinical negligence caseload, assessing liability, causation and quantum and developing a proportionate defence strategy. The work includes directing the evidence-gathering process, advising on litigation and settlement risk, instructing experts and counsel and keeping clients informed as cases develop.

You should have experience managing clinical negligence litigation with an appropriate degree of independence. We are looking for strong technical analysis, practical advice and effective control of deadlines, costs and case strategy. Experience of complex claims and supporting less experienced colleagues will be relevant to more senior appointments.

The role is based in Sheffield with hybrid working. The £85,000 figure is the upper salary ceiling; offers will reflect your experience, caseload and responsibility. PQE is a guide, and the role will be matched to your background.
