Job description
Overview

Senior Clinical Fellow (SCF) position in Critical Care at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role focuses on either critical care echocardiography or research within the Intensive Care Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑level clinical care to patients in the ICU.
  • Engage in specialised training and practice in critical care echocardiography or contribute to research initiatives.
  • Contribute to educational programmes and develop managerial skills, including participation in quality improvement.
Specialty Focus

Approximately half of your time will be dedicated to advancing your main skill area—either echocardiography or research. Echo fellows will be trained to perform full scans and interpret them in the context of critical illness. Research fellows will work with research teams to produce and develop research in areas such as hyperinflammation, sepsis, echocardiography, haem‑oncology and peri‑operative medicine.
