Role: Senior Clinical Fellow (SPR) in Heart Failure /Transplant Medicine
Location: Harefield Hospital
This is a registrar-level post in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Medicine; the successful applicant will join a dynamic team with an international reputation. Harefield Hospital provides specialist cardiothoracic services including interventional cardiology, thoracic and cardiac surgery. This post is to commence in December for a period of 6 months with a possible extension by mutual agreement (up to a maximum of 23 months where appropriate).
This post offers clinical experience and training in advanced heart failure, ventricular assist device support and clinical management after heart transplantation. It is suitable for those seeking a post CCT fellowship in advanced heart failure and for current trainees in cardiovascular medicine who wish to have a period of out-of-programme training in advanced heart failure.
The post holder will undertake an active role in inpatient care and participate in outpatient clinics as well as the EWTD-compliant on-call rota.

Clinical Responsibilities
On Call Participate in an on-call rota covering inpatient activity and emergency work. This may involve cross cover to Lung Failure and Cardiology Services.
The Middle Grade Doctors provide second on call to ST1-3 doctors and on a 1:7 rota. They are resident on-call 8am to 8pm daily with availability by telephone thereafter.
