Overview

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint a Clinical Fellow (Speciality Trainee level) to support the services of the ENT Department, which hosts the centralised head and neck surgical oncology, skull base and advanced rhinology services for Cheshire and Merseyside.

Position Details

This fixed‑term role commences in February 2026 and is for 6 months.

Responsibilities
  • Support the ENT team in the running of services within the department.
  • Participate in routine elective activity, including supervised operating theatres, clinics and ward rounds, within a fully compliant timetable.
  • Contribute to the department’s active research, teaching and training programme at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Participate in on‑call commitments (overnight, weekends and daytime) as part of a rolling rota covering Aintree, Royal Liverpool and Alder Hey Children’s Hospitals.
Qualifications
  • Membership of a Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS ENT) or equivalent.
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Experience and/or ambition to develop at the Speciality Trainee level, prepare for the FRCS ORL‑HNS exit examination or apply for CESR.
