A leading NHS Trust in the UK is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow to join their paediatric team. The role includes working in various settings such as the emergency department and outpatient clinics. Candidates should have a medical degree and relevant clinical experience in paediatrics. The Trust offers a supportive environment and a competitive benefits package with flexible working hours.
The post holder will join the existing team of consultant paediatricians, specialty doctors and specialty trainees working in the Paediatric Directorate which is part of the Women and Children’s Division of The Royal Oldham Care Organisation part of the Northern Care Alliance.
The Royal Oldham Hospital has a single inpatient paediatric ward with 24 Paediatric beds including 4 HDU beds. There is also a 24 hour Paediatric observation and assessment unit (POAU). The Emergency department at Royal Oldham is a recognised Trauma Unit in Greater Manchester. A new paediatric area within the emergency department has recently been opened. There is a Level 3 Tertiary Neonatal Unit at Oldham and this has its own directorate and separate staffing arrangements. There is a paediatric specific outpatients department located on the Royal Oldham hospital site. Paediatric outpatient clinics are also held at Rochdale hospital.
