Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Medical Degree
• MRCOG Part 1 or recognised equivalent
• Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice

Desirable criteria

• Additional relevant clinical experience
• MRCOG Part 3 or recognised equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria

• Completed a minimum of 1 year speciality registrar or equivalent training in obs & gynae in the UK
• Able to deal with emergency admissions on-call
• Excellent all round experience of DGH work

Desirable criteria

• Previous experience of working in an O&G post within the UK
• Suitable experience to allow or past experience of second on-call

Knowledge

Essential criteria

• Interest in and ability to contribute to teaching and learning of more junior doctors and medical students
• Understand the principles of audits

Desirable criteria

• Evidence of involvement of teaching
• Evidence of undertaking research projects and audit

Skills

Essential criteria

• Flexible attitude, team player with good management skills
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of the principles and elements of clinical governance.
