We would welcome candidates who have at least two years of accredited core medical or an aesthetic training to the level of CT2 or equivalent. Candidates will be expected to have passed the MRCP examination or the Primary FRCA. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an interest in medical education and previous experience in intensive care medicine is essential. The post is best suited for the following candidates:

The Royal Free Hospital has a total complement of 50 Critical Care beds (mixed level 2 and level 3), including an 8 bed Post-Anesthetic Care Unit, a 12 bed Enhanced Perioperative Care Unit and an 11-bed liver critical care unit. All medical and surgical specialties, with exception of neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery and ECMO are covered. The renal unit at the Royal Free provides services for the whole of the North Central sector. Tertiary specialist services include liver transplantation, hepatobiliary (HPB), plastic, colorectal and vascular surgery, and infectious diseases. We admit approximately 2800 patients each year and senior medical cover is provided by 24 Consultants, who provide a 24-hour cover worked in blocks to provide continuity of care.
