Job summary

A leading NHS trust in London is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for a 12-month position. The successful candidate will join a team dealing with all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and will work across Chase Farm and Barnet Hospitals. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable surgical experience in a supportive environment. Full GMC registration is essential.

Qualifications

  • Essential criteria: MBBS/BDS (or equivalent).

Senior Clinical Fellow in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Applications are invited to apply for a 12-month fixed term post as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to join an established department dealing with all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. The department at The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is run by 5 Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeons and 3 Consultant Orthodontists.

This post is based at Chase Farm and Barnet Hospitals with satellite clinics at the Royal Free and Edgware Community Hospitals. Adult elective surgery is centralised to a dedicated theatre at Chase Farm with paediatric surgery at Barnet Hospital. The on-call service and emergency service is based at Barnet Hospital where the first tier of on call consists of nine junior staff (6 DF1/2 and 3 Trust Doctors) on a compliant 48hr full shift rota with 1 in 6 middle tier nights and a weekend middle grade non-resident on-call cover based at Barnet Hospital.

Please note - this post falls under the 2002 Hospital Medical and Dental staff terms and conditions, with the salary on the MN37 pay scale. It is a trust grade role, not a recognised training post.
