A renowned healthcare provider in Camden Town is seeking a motivated Clinical Fellow specializing in gynaecological oncology. The role involves gaining substantial surgical experience, participating in clinics and MDTs, and contributing to the educational programme. Ideal candidates will have completed MRCOG Part 3 and be GMC registered. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance skills while providing high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a well‑motivated doctor to gain experience in gynaecological oncology and high level gynaecological surgical experience, working as a fellow primarily for gynaecological oncology services.
This post supports the candidate to gain experience in the Royal College of O&G core curriculum along with Gynaecological oncology SITM. Educational and clinical supervision is provided, and the post holder will be encouraged to engage with the e‑portfolio to document training competencies. Day‑to‑day clinical responsibilities are a significant part of the training offered to the Clinical Fellow, and opportunities are taken for informal clinical teaching as appropriate.
All doctors are expected to undertake audit and to make a regular contribution to the Departmental academic programme. The Trust Education Centre includes library facilities with close links to King's College London School of Medicine and Guys Cancer Centre. Part of this role is participation in clinical governance processes, patient tracking list management, Gynaecological oncology MDTs, complex case meetings and review of ward patients.
The post holder will contribute to consultant‑led clinics and gain additional skills while working closely with the gynaecological oncology team. The successful candidate will participate in the 1:8 full shift rota providing cover for both Obstetrics and Gynaecology in a three‑tier system. The consultant is resident from 0800 to 2200 to support high‑quality care and outstanding training opportunities in obstetrics and gynaecology.
