A leading NHS organization in England is seeking a full-time Senior Clinical Fellow in Neurology. The position involves clerking non‑elective patients, providing inpatient support, and participating in outpatient clinics. Applicants should demonstrate clinical responsibilities and the ability to undertake General Internal Medicine work. This role presents an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a busy department with educational meetings and a supportive team environment.
Applications are invited for a full‑time Senior Clinical Fellow post for six months, responding to service needs in the Department of Neurology. The postholder will work alongside neurology trainees and junior doctors, taking clinical responsibilities including clerking non‑elective patients admitted under neurology, providing inpatient support under consultant supervision, completing electronic discharge summaries, and participating in the neurology ST on‑call rota consisting of day shifts on Saturday and Sunday (one weekend in six). Provision will be made to allow participation in outpatient neurology clinics and attendance at weekly educational departmental meetings, including the neuroradiology meeting each Thursday morning.

Staff parking is available onsite but limited during core working hours. Capacity increases during the evening and weekends, and staff are usually placed on a waiting list if at full capacity. Public transport options include discounted monthly passes via First Bus & Konect, the NNUH Park & Ride service (free for NHS staff), regular Park & Ride services from P&R, and a discounted service from the airport P&R for bundles. Beryl bicycle rack onsite is available, and a salary sacrifice scheme facilitates car and cycle use.

Upon appointment, any previous NHS service will be established via ESR/IAT and your application will serve as agreement.
