Job description
Senior Clinical Fellow – Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Applications are invited for a full‑time Senior Clinical Fellow post in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have established leadership and team‑working qualities.

Key Responsibilities

The post involves the provision and delivery of healthcare for patients requiring treatment for a wide range of non‑oncology conditions in the specialty, including:

  • facial trauma
  • orthognathic surgery
  • salivary gland surgery
  • TMJ replacement surgery
  • reconstructive surgery for facial skin defects

The successful candidate will be expected to be skilled and confident enough to do second on‑call on a 1:6 basis during work days and 1:10 for weekends together with a junior colleague with a dental or a medical degree.

Qualifications & Experience

This post would be suitable for any senior OMFS trainee after or towards the end of their regular training.

A dual medical and dental qualification is desirable, whereby a medical qualification is essential.
