A healthcare institution in London is seeking experienced doctors in Emergency Medicine to manage patient care and lead trauma calls. Ideal candidates should have at least 12 months of experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work on late-evening and night rotas. These exciting senior posts in Emergency Medicine are aimed at doctors (ST3+ equivalent) who have at least 12 months experience working in Emergency Medicine. The post holder will work on the Middle Grade rota and, if on the senior tier, will be responsible for running the Department in the late evenings and nights, including leading trauma calls and cardiac arrests. There is consultant presence on-site from 0800 – midnight each day, and a consultant on-call from midnight to 0800.
• ST3 or equivalent with at least 12 months Emergency Medicine experience.
• Ability to run late‑evening and night rotas with consultant presence on site.
• Strong communication and supervisory skills at the middle‑grade level.
• Commitment to audit, quality improvement and educational activities.
• Self‑rostered rota offering flexibility and work‑life balance.
• Full consultant presence 0800‑midnight with additional on‑call support.
• Opportunity to develop emergency ultrasound skills with Level 2 in‑house trainers and links to the ultrasound department.
• Participation in departmental audit and quality improvement projects.

The Emergency Department receives approximately 190,000 new patients annually, with 27% under the age of 16. The department is part of the London trauma network and provides comprehensive patient care from initial assessment to hand‑over to inpatient teams. Recent redesigns have optimised patient care pathways and the department boasts advanced laboratory, radiography and CT support.
