Overview

A vacancy at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join a rapidly expanding group of clinicians and clinical academics in Endocrinology & Metabolism at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW). The principal focus of the department is upon excellent clinical service and research.

Responsibilities

• To provide clinical input towards patients in Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, in both inpatient and out-patient settings
• Participate in a variety of clinical sessions, but mainly in the PCOS service, also Reproductive Endocrine Services; Thyroid; Obesity
• Complete Inpatient Endocrine clinical activity, including undertaking senior decision maker ward rounds and supporting resident doctors on the ward.
• To provide weekly input into related research trials within UHCW.
• Potentially to publish research outcomes in appropriate journals of international standing and to publish and disseminate the results of research and scholarship in other outlets.
• To contribute and manage the day-to-day research activity of the specified project and establish a sound research with relevant legislation and Good Clinical Practice.
• To provide regular weekly clinical input towards Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism.
• To provide weekly input into related research trials within UHCW.
• To publish research outcomes in appropriate journals of international standing and to publish and disseminate the results of research and scholarship in other outlets.
• To contribute to the preparation of grant applications and projects including support of the existing research team.
